The Cure for Mediocrity is very eye opening. Daniel teaches you how to change your life and stop living in mediocrity like most of society. Highly recommend!
The book is well written and the points are clear and simplified. Simplicity is brilliant. The idea that nothing happens without taking action is priceless as this is an area I️ need to be more proactive on!
Cure for Mediocrity opened up my mind! I have always felt that there was more to life tban working at a job you do not like for 40 years and then retire at age 65 and living on social security or worse, getting help from friends and family. This book helped me in becoming more confident about my future.
This book surprised me in a positive way. The author has a very strong and compelling voice and gives out a lot of knowledge that many people haven't received before. However, if you are well versed in the personal finance field, the book might not bring about that many new thoughts. What it does have, however is concrete action steps, which is why I rated it 5 stars
I ordered the edition of this book and liked it so much that I purchased the paperback edition for my sons.
The importance of a business and financial education is huge at any age, but especially for young people starting out. I really like how Daniel gets you thinking about a wide range of options so you don't feel limited and then he actually lays out a plan and helps you set your "why".
It's great that he shows and shares his process and actually invites you along with him on the journey. It is very relateable and actionabIe as well as clearly written and organized. It's a great book and I'm excited to share it!
Daniel has written an extraordinary book. Although I do not adhere to his premise that young men and women are being prosletysized into formal university education with the singular purpose of channeling them into conventional corporate life, "never trust the teller; trust the tale!" ( D.H. Lawrence)
He's produced an extremely pragmatic methodology that allows all of us, young and old, to determine 'who' we are, what our interests and values are, and finally to structure a business and lifestyle that's in conformity with these paradigms.
I came away from a first read, actually taking copious notes (and I've not done that since grad school), and feeling rather sorry for myself that the tools he offers were not available to me during my formative years.
